Irma Ikier

Funeral service for Irma Ikier, 82, of Madelia, Minnesota will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Willow Creek, rural Vernon Center, Minnesota. Burial will be in the North Willow Creek Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Ikier died Monday, June 27, 2005 at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia, Minnesota. Zaharia Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Truman, Minnesota is in charge of arrangements. Irma Ikier the daughter of Henry and Rose (Urban) Wiederhoeft was born October 30, 1922, in Antrim Township, Watonwan County, Minnesota. She attended Antrim Parochial School and District 18 School. Irma was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Willow Creek. On May 2, 1948, she was united in marriage to Armond Ikier at St. John's Lutheran Church of Willow Creek. She worked for several families doing house cleaning and also at Fairmont Canning Co. Mr. Ikier died January 2, 2005. Irma was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Willow Creek and the Lewisville American Legion Auxiliary Post 561 of Lewisville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Larry.
