Cleo Duane Moeller

Funeral services for Cleo Moeller, 72, of Fairmont, MN will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Zaharia Family Funeral Chapel, Fairmont. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont. Mr. Moeller died on Sunday, October 16, 2005 at the Fairmont Medical Center-Mayo Health Systems. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation Service of Fairmont and one hour before the services Thursday. Cleo Duane Moeller was born on February 11, 1933 in rural Fraser Township, Martin County, MN to Edwin and Laurena (Schmidt) Moeller. He attended country school at Fraser Township and graduated from Fairmont High School. On September 27, 1952 Cleo married Lorraine Carlson in rural Trimont, MN. He sold Trojan Seed Corn for many years. Cleo did custom corn shelling and custom silo filling. He had a soybean field test plot for the University of Minnesota. Cleo also raised beef cattle for a number of years. They farmed in Fraser Township until his death. Cleo was PCA President; a Fraser Township Board member and Midland Co-op Board member. Cleo enjoyed rebuilding antique tractors, horse drawn equipment, raising horses and building lawn ornaments. He loved farming, the outdoors, animals and spending time with his family. Cleo is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lorraine, Fairmont, MN; one daughter, and son-in-law, Debra and Gary Winchester, Trimont, MN; four sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Cathy Moeller, Doug and Shelly Moeller, Dale and Deb Moeller, Dana and Luann Moeller, all of Fairmont, MN; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Carole Moeller, Mount Vernon, WA and one sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Marvin Thiesse, Emmetsburg, IA, Cleo was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lois Schwieger.
