Funeral services for Marline I. Johnson, 70, Lewisville, MN will be held on Monday, October 24th, 2005 at 10:30 am at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. Interment will be at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, rural Truman, MN. Marline died Thursday, October 20th, 2005 at the Madelia Community Hospital, Madelia, MN. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2-4:00 pm at Zaharia Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Truman and one hour prior to the services in the church Monday.
Marline Irma Nelson was born on January 22nd, 1935 in Lewisville, MN to Ellsworth and Irma Schalk Nelson. She attended elementary school in Lewisville and graduated from Truman High School. On March 2nd, 1956 Marline married Ronald Johnson at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. She worked for Keehn's Cash Store in Lewisville. In 1963 Ron and Marline purchased the grocery store and renamed it Ron's Super-Valu. Marline retired in 1998. Marline was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Marline is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ronald Johnson, Lewisville; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Roseanna Johnson, Bloomington, MN; three grandsons, Nolan, Ryan and Mitchell Johnson; three sisters and brothers-in-laws, Harriet and Russell Nagel, Fairmont, MN, Deanna Cole, Spencer, IA, Linda and Tom Boesch, Garfield, MN; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Larry Nelson, Fairmont, MN, Ron and Ann Nelson, Chaska, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. Marline was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Becky Jo Johnson; one sister, Ardella and one brother, Curtis.
