Clair Hubert Moore was born in Titonka, IA on October 11, 1929 to Clarence E. and Eunice M. (Phelps) Moore. He attended school and graduated from Titonka High School. On February 26th, 1950 Clair married Marcella Joan Zwiefel at Gruver Presbyterian Church in Gruver, IA. They lived on the same farm for 53 years near Dolliver, IA where he farmed for those 53 years. In September of 2003, Clair and Marcella moved to Fairmont, MN. Clair was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dolliver where he served in many capacities, a 4-H leader for ten years, a twenty year board member of DEK and a member of ASC for numerous years. Clair loved to farm and truly enjoyed square dancing and snowmobiling.
Clair is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marcella, Fairmont; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Jerry Lang, Norman, OK; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Roxy Moore, New Richland Hills, TX, Duane and Arlene Moore, Dolliver, IA, Darryl and Teresa Moore, Arlington, SD; eleven grandchildren; one great grand daughter; one sister, Anna Mae Bristow, Livermore, IA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Lois Moore, Maquoketa, IA, Roger and Martha Moore, Lake Charles, LA, Rollo and Janice Moore, Algona, IA and numerous nieces and nephews. Clair was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark; three brothers, Dale, Stanley and Levant.
