Richard Wayne Lund

Richard Wayne Lund was born on November 2, 1935, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Gustav and Mabel (Nelson) Lund. He attended school in Hills, MN and graduated from Hills High School. After high school, Richard entered the US Air Force in Sioux Falls, SD. He retired after twenty years at the rank of Master Sergeant. Richard lived in Valley Springs, SD, for twenty eight years and moved to Fairmont in 2004. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and especially spending time with his friends and family. Richard is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly Kerstanski of Milner, GA, Samantha Lund-Hillmer and her husband John of Fairmont; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard G. Lund and his wife, Leonor of Fairmont; three grandchildren, Ryan League, Ian Kerstanski and Wil Hillmer; one brother, Robert Lund of Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters-in-law, Irene Lund and Louise Lund both of Sioux Falls; one brother-in-law, Don Doman of Sioux Falls; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be given to the Sertoma Club's Hearing Program through your local Sertoma Club.
