Edna Marguerite Johanna Buchan

January 15, 1909 — January 21, 2007

Edna Marguerite Johanna Lund was born on January 15, 1909 in Cedar Falls, Iowa to Hans and Marie Johannson Lund. As a child she moved with her family to Emmet County, IA near Ringsted. She attended Halpha School. On June 18, 1932 she married Myron "Jim? Buchan in Sioux Falls, SD. Together they farmed near Ceylon, MN. In 1958 they moved into Ceylon and in 1979 they moved to Fairmont. Jim died in 1986. Edna remained in Fairmont and later moved into the Lakeview Methodist Home. Edna was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Ceylon and had been receiving pastoral care from St. John's-United Church of Christ in Fairmont. She was a member of Ruth Circle at the United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a hard worker. Edna is survived by two daughters, Lois Lewis and Lavon Dyslin, both of Fairmont; two sons, Roger Buchan and his wife Marian of Fairmont, Jerry Buchan and his wife Charlene of Ceylon; one daughter-in-law, Sue of Armstrong, IA; grandchildren, Dennis (Julie) Dyslin, Gregory (Linda) Dyslin, Lori Dyslin, Kim (Mark) Henderson, Kathy (Cameron) Washington, LeAnna (Brian) Hughs, Jill (Mike) Irmiter, Jason (Melisa) Buchan, Jeremy Buchan, Cindy (Kerry) Smith, Debbie (Milt) McKeown, Kent Buchan; sixteen grandchildren; one brother, Ed Lund and his wife Mildred of Omaha, NE; and two sisters-in-law, Helen Lund of Missouri and Mary Lund of Arizona. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jimmie; two sons-in-law, Neil Lewis and Dick Dyslin; and three brothers, Ernie, Harold and Martin Lund.
