Hulda Meta Kueker was born on March 1, 1912 in Butterfield, MN to William and Bertha (Blankenburg) Kueker. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Butterfield. Hulda attended country school outside of Butterfield. In 1932, Hulda moved to Truman with her parents. On August 27, 1933 Hulda married Elvin Krenz at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Truman. They farmed south of Truman until his death on July 23, 1957. She stayed on the farm until moving into Truman in 1978 and moved into the Trimont Health Care Center in 2007. Hulda was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman where she was a member of the ladies aid and Dorcas Circle and was a member of the Garden Club. Hulda died on Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Trimont Health Care Center, Trimont, MN.
Hulda is survived by her son, Darold Krenz and his wife Judy of Bemidji, MN; four grandchildren, Veronica (Jody) Lorenz, Lewiston, MN, Kerry (Lisa) Krenz, Truman, Patricia (Paul) Jones, Bemidji, MN, Cheryl (Jeff) Eggold, Germantown, WI; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Minnie Miller, Madelia, MN; one sister-in-law, Rosella Kueker, Truman; one brother-in-law, Henry Krenz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death y her parents; husband; one grandson, Dale; and by seven brothers and two sisters.
Memorial contributions may be given to Martin Luther High School.
