Ramona Ann Sadie Teig

Ramona Ann Sadie Northwick was born on July 21, 1937 in Blue Earth, MN to Oswald and Sylvia (Hamre) Northwick. She attended school and graduated from Blue Earth High School. Ramona attended Mankato State University. She worked at 3M in Fairmont. On August 7, 1960, Ramona was united in married to Jerry D. Teig at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, MN. In 1963, Ramona took time off to be a stay at home Mom until 1979. She then worked at Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman as church secretary for 20 years. Ramona was an avid sports fan attending many Twins, Vikings and Gopher games. She enjoyed golfing, reading, writing, sewing, music and especially spending time with her family. She treasured her time with her grandchildren. Ramona's church was her life and she was a caregiver at heart. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman serving on the council and remaining active in WELCA. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Mrs. Jaycee's where she held several offices and the Truman High School Athletic Booster Club. Ramona died on Friday, May 16, 2008 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Ramona is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Teig of Truman; four daughters and sons-in-law, Maria Attema and her husband Mike of Lakeville, MN, Jenny Peterson and her husband Marty of Burnsville, MN, Angie Teig Miller and her husband Michael of Brooklyn Park, MN, Tanya Teig of Hopkins, MN; seven grandchildren; one brother, Ted Northwick and his wife Joyce of Rosemount, MN; one sister Kay Germann and her husband Darryl of Blue Earth, MN; two sisters-in-law, Janis Northwick, Marvis Northwick and one brother-in-law, Glenn Wells, all of Blue Earth; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church (gifts and memorials fund) in Truman, Martin County Hospice or to Lutheran Social Services.
