Marcella Traver

February 20, 1916 — October 28, 2009

Marcella Schultz was born on February 20, 1916 in New Germany, MN to William and Mary Elizabeth (Kuenzel) Schultz. She attended school in New Germany and Graduated from Teacher's Normal School in St. Cloud. Marcella taught country school in Watonwan County. On June 11, 1940, Marcella was united in marriage to Marvin Traver at Lester Prairie, MN. She taught for twenty years at St. Paul's Lutheran Parochial School in Truman. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. Mrs. Traver died on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Fairmont Medical Center. Marcella is survived by two daughters, Carol Greeley and her husband Doyle of Loveland, CO, Pat Appeldoorn and her husband Ron of Verndale, WA; one son, Richard Traver of Owatonna, MN; special "daughter?/family friend, Carole Schultze and her husband Warren of Northrop; seventeen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; twenty three great, great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Louise Traver of the Twin Cities, MN, Leona Schultz of Glencoe, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and three brothers. Memorial contributions may be given to Martin Luther High School in Northrop.
