Marcella Joan Moore

Marcella Joan Zwiefel was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Fenton, Iowa, to Virgil and Leona (Schmidt) Zwiefel. She attended school in Dolliver, Iowa, and graduated from Dolliver High School in 1949. On Feb. 26, 1950. Marcella was united in marriage to Clair Hubert Moore at the Gruver Presbyterian Church in Gruver, Iowa. They lived for 53 years on the same farm that they farmed for those 53 years. In September of 2003, Marcella and Clair moved to Fairmont. Clair died on May 4, 2006. Marcella was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fairmont. Marcella loved piano and organ playing, writing poetry, gardening and especially spending time with family. She was very active in the church's bible study and the community bible study. Marcella died on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Arlington, S.D. Marcella is survived by one daughter, Connie (Jerry) Lang, Norman, Okla.; three sons, Dennis (Roxy) Moore, Fort Worth, Texas, Duane (Arlene) Moore, Dolliver, Iowa, Darryl (Teresa) Moore, Arlington, S.D.; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Wendell (Sandy) Zwiefel, Truman, Minn., Calvin (Donna) Zwiefel, Walker, Minn., and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clair; one son, Mark; one sister, Lois Yackle.
