LeRoy John Maday was born on January 11, 1937, in Winnebago, Minn., to Julius and Rose (Nawrocki) Maday. He attended and graduated from Fairmont High School. In 1954, LeRoy began working for Fairmont Railway Motors. On September 12, 1957, LeRoy was united in marriage to Dorothy LeBrun in St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. LeRoy and Dorothy moved to Armstrong, Iowa, in 1974 where they owned and operated D and L Lounge. They returned to Fairmont in the later '80's where LeRoy worked for Bob Olson Manufacturing, Weightronix and retiring from Greenlee-Textron. LeRoy was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. LeRoy enjoyed golf, softball, bowling, fishing, gardening and bird watching. On June 22, 2011, God brought peace to LeRoy and sent His angels to bring him home.
LeRoy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy, Fairmont; two daughters, Julie Maday, Fairmont, Dawn Walders (Gary), Armstrong, Iowa; one son, Jeffery Maday (Tracey), Orillia, Ontario; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three brothers, Don Maday, Fairmont, Jim Maday (Harla), Fairmont, Dwayne Maday (Bobbi), Fairmont, Minn., and many nieces and nephews. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; one sister-in-law, Mary Maday.
