Reiny Junior Nagorske was born on February 7, 1946, in Windom, Minn., the youngest of six children, to Reinhold and Erna (Hoppe) Nagorske. Junior was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Our Saviors in Windom, Minn. He attended elementary and high school in the Windom area, graduating in 1964. He went on to college, graduating in 1969 from Mankato State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also farmed for a couple of years with his brother Herb. On July 13, 1968, he married Donna Lubben at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, in Windom, Minn. They had just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. In 1969, he and Donna moved to Pinconning, Mich., where he taught junior high math and science for seven years. They had two children, Jill and Scott, prior to moving back to North Mankato, Minn., in 1976, where he worked for Production Credit Association as a loan officer before coming to work at Peoples State Bank in Truman in 1990. He was currently vice president with Profinium Financial. Junior was very involved in the community and was active with the Community Chest, was a Lions Club Officer, was on the Fairmont Opera House Board, was current president of the Truman Economic Development Authority, a member of the Martin County Bankers Association, was a church officer, and was an original member of the Mankato Merely Players.
Along with his love of community, Junior also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and watching the Twins and Vikings. Family vacations and spending time with family and grandchildren were also very important to him. He had a terrific sense of humor and a very outgoing, social personality. He could also be found singing and playing guitar, singing in the church choir, and performing in musicals. Junior died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 16, 2011.
He is survived by: his wife of 43 years, Donna Nagorske, Truman, Minn., daughter Jill (Tim) Mullenbach, Rochester, Minn., son Scott Nagorske, Truman, Minn., his six grandchildren: Cassie, Heather, Sarah, and Stacie Mullenbach, Alyssa and Ella Nagorske; three brothers: Walt (Pat) Nagorske, Fairfax, Va.; Herb (Maryls) Nagorske, Windom, Minn.; Eldon (Lorna) Nagorske, Windom, Minn., two sisters: Alma (Bob) Peters, Montevideo, Minn.; Erma Kropp, Vesta, Minn. Many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Reinhold and Erna Nagorske; and a brother-in-law: Richard Kropp.
