Marlin Nave was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Fairmont to Ralph & Leoria (Taylor) Nave. He grew up and graduated from Fairmont High School. He worked for Blue Earth Rendering for more than 20 years, retiring in 2012.
He enjoyed reading, the races at Fairmont Speedway, hanging out at Richards Auto Repair, coffee at McDonalds, and his church family at Bethel Evangelical Free Church. Marlin passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Steve) Pierce of Granada and Deb (Bob) Patten of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Norma (Ralph) Crissinger of Sherburn; sister-in-law, Phyllis Nave of Fairmont; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVonne; wife, Ruth ""Ione""; his parents; and three brothers.
