Richard Earl Adams was born on May 17, 1937 in Winnebago, MN to Lee and Mildred (Vickerman) Adams. Richard attended school in Huntley, MN. After his father's death, he and his brother helped run the family farm. On June 18, 1954 Richard was united in marriage to Arlene Black at the Lutheran Church in Winnebago. Together, they ran a diversified farm until his retirement. Richard was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, boat building and woodworking. Richard loved playing the "large and growly bear? for the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Richard died on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his home in rural Winnebago.
Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Arlene Adams, Winnebago; two daughters, Nancy Kastner, Delavan, MN, Sharon (Stan) Skaro, Pennock, MN; one son, Robert Adams, Winnebago, MN; 2 grandsons; 4 great grandsons; one sister-in-law, Joan Adams, Winnebago, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin children, Charles and Donna; one grandson, Curtis Adams; one brother, Alan Adams.
