Beatrice Rose Heinen was born May 31, 1925, in New Ulm, MN. She was the daughter of Mathias and Frances (Roesch) Heinen. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School through the 8th grade and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1942. During the Second World War she worked in Seattle, WA. In December of 1949 she married Clarence R. Pesta and they farmed and raised their family in Blue Earth and Martin Counties. Clarence died November 18, 2002 and Beatrice moved to town. When her children were young she was active in the Nashville 4-H Club as a leader. She was a founding member of St. Katherine's Catholic Church in Truman where she was very active. She enjoyed being a part of Truman's Legion Auxiliary and helping with the Blood Mobile. She crocheted many name doilies for people and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Bea passed away on Thursday, March 6th at the home of her daughter surrounded by her family.
Family was very important to her and always enjoyed spending time with them. They are: Daryl Pesta of St. Peter, MN; Nancy (Donald) Larson of Alden, MN; Susan (David) Campbell of Eagan, MN; and Darin (Val) of Truman. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Wendy (Steven Dietrich) Richter, Portland, OR, Joe (Sarah) Pesta of Eugene, OR, Nathan (Amy) Larson, Kasson, MN, Dayna Larson, Conger, MN, Nicholaus Larson, Austin, MN, Christy (Adam Johnson) Campbell, Mpls, MN, Alex (Alison Vallant) Campbell, St. Paul, MN, Cortnee (Tyler) DePoppe, St Peter, MN, Tanner (Henni) Wilcox, Mankato, Kaitlyn Wilcox, Truman and 8 great-grandchildren; Nathan Magnoski, Corey & Griffin Pesta, Noah Larson, Tirzah, Joel & Zoe Larson, and Emilia Wilcox. Her sister Irene Stoxen of Sacramento CA, brother and sisters-in-law Ivan (Shirley) Pesta, Clarissa, MN, Kenny (Jeanette) Pesta, Clarissa, MN, Glenn (Neva) Pesta, Long Prairie, MN. Gloria (Duane) Drevlow, Truman, MN , Lea Pesta, Brooklyn Center, MN, Betty Pesta, Alexandria, MN, Connie Pesta Long Prairie, MN and nieces and nephews and special neighbors Doug and Darla Mamanga and their sons Colton and Tanner.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, parents Mathias and Frances, her brother Norbert, in-laws Frank and Ragnhild Pesta, brother and sisters-in-law, Orville Stoxen, Ruth and Ellis McKindley, Hanley Pesta, Frank Pesta, Raymond Pesta.
