Lillie Kate Eickhoff, 92, of St. James formerly of Truman, passed away May 21, 2016 at the Good Samaritan in St. James.
Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday May 26, 2016 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00PM Wednesday, May 25 at Zaharia Family Funeral Home in Truman, with visitation one hour prior to service at church. Burial will be in the Fairview Memorial Park of Fairmont.
Lillie was born June 23, 1923 to Henry and Augusta (Koehler) Breitbarth in rural Truman.
Lillie married Orval Wendt, and together they had five children; Roxy, Robert, Louise, Michael and Sheryl. While raising her family, Lillie worked at Stokely Van Camp in Fairmont.
Orval passed away in 1964. Lillie later married Floyd Eickhoff and lived together on the farm in rural Truman.
She enjoyed traveling across the country, fishing, cooking, gardening, playing bingo, and watching her MN Twins. Lillie will be remembered for her sense of humor and smile.
Lillie is survived by her children, Michael Wendt, Sheryl Wendt, Dorene (Jerry) Seeman, Charles Eickhoff, Daryl (Marlene) Eickhoff; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; infant son, Robert; daughters, Roxy Johnson, Louise “Mickey” Karau, Darlene Culbertson and Shirley Eickhoff; son, Robert Eickhoff; and all of her siblings.
