Arlene Lorraine (Black) Adams

Arlene Lorraine (Black) Adams, 78, of Winnebago passed away October 11, 2016 at her home. Funeral service will be Monday, October 17 at 10:30AM, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago. Visitation will be 3:00 – 5:00PM Sunday, October 16 at Zaharia Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Truman, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Nashville Cemetery. Arlene was born July 15, 1938 in Willow Creek, then attended school in Winnebago. On June 18, 1954 Arlene married Richard E. Adams, and together had five children. In the early years Arlene tended to her family and the farm, she was a Sunday school teacher for many years, volunteered in 4-H and was an active member of the Blue Star Mothers of America. She also worked about 20 years at the Harold’s Club in Northrop. Arlene was a dedicated and caring wife to her husband Richard for many years. Her love, support and warmth has been with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in everything she did with and for them. Her willingness to give you her opinion will be remembered by many. She is survived by her children, Nancy Kastner of Delavan, Robert Adams of Winnebago, and Sharon (Stan) Skaro of Pennock; grandchildren, Scott (Michelle) Adams and Charles (Danielle) Egerstrom; great-grandchildren, Zack, Hunter, Stacy, Seth and Landon; sister-in-law, Joan Adams of Winnebago. Arlene was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Black; her twins, Charles and Donna; husband of 59 years, Richard Adams; grandson, Curtis Lee Adams and son-in-law, Gary R. Kastner.
