John A. Krueger, Jr. was born on February 14, 1923 in Franklin, MN to John A. Krueger, Sr. and Ella E. Wetencamp Krueger. He attended school in Welcome, MN. John worked for Fairmont Railway Motors, 3M and the Fairmont Canning Factory. On October 12, 1957, John married Elizabeth "Betty? Knoll in Mankato, MN. They made their home in Fairmont. John worked for Meyer Salvage Company in Fairmont for 35 years. John later retired and remained in Fairmont until entering Truman Senior Living in January of 2008. John enjoyed playing his guitar and had a love for music. In his younger years, John was active in horse racing. Mr. Krueger died on Monday, February 11, 2008 at Truman Senior Living.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth "Betty? of Fairmont; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; one sister, Velma (Lawrence) Charnecki of Austin, MN; two brothers, Dennis (Elsie) Krueger of Canon City, CO, Dale Krueger of Tulsa, OK; one brother-in-law, Charles Raforth of Fairmont, MN; one aunt, Jackie Rahm, Trimont, MN; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Walter Krueger; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Krueger; and two sisters, Vera Raforth and infant sister Violet.
