Ronald Lee Van Heumen

Ronald Lee Van Heumen, of Ceylon, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the age of 78.  There will be a visitation on Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 10-11 AM at Zaharia Family Funeral Home in Truman. Burial of Ronald and his wife, Gloria's cremated remains will take place in the spring of 2021 at Lake Belt Cemetery, Ceylon.

Ronald was born on May 24, 1942 to Gerry and Esther H. Heumen in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.  Ronald worked at GKN manufacturing in Armstrong Iowa for many years. He married Gloria Johnson and they were blessed with daughter Zola. He loved camping and was a proud fan and former Pit-crew member of Shryock Racing.

Ronald is survived by his son-in-law Greg Anderson, of Ceylon and several other relatives, Mary (Jerry) Williams, Phillip Johnson, Verne (Jan) Johnson, Phyllis (Gary) Meyer and Ruth Carlson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gloria, daughter Zola, infant son Randy and grandson Brandon.
